Do I have to have a trial?Yes - every To-Be-Wed is required to have a trial prior to their big day! To ensure the least stress on your wedding morning, having your dream makeup look locked in, knowing it suits you, lasts all day and knowing that you look hot as hell in advance is a huge help. Your trial also allows us to meet one another and become besties, so that you have that added level of comfort! Your trial must be done no later than 6 weeks prior to your wedding, unless previously agreed upon at booking!
-
When should I book in for a trial? There is no right or wrong answer for this! However, my recommendation would be 3-6 months prior to your wedding!
-
What happens if I have a trial and decide I don't like it/want changes? That's absolutely fine and within your right! I have had nearly weds who had several trials before settling on a final look - the record so far has been 7 trials. If you have a trial with me, and you end up feeling like I'm not the makeup artist for you, that's completely valid. It's your day after all! The deposit you pay to secure your date covers the cost of your trial (as well as my admin time). However - if the trial is less than 3 months before your wedding, you may still owe 50% of the wedding fee (which is why i recommend your trial in the 3-6 month prior to the wedding time frame)

What is your booking process?Let me break this down into steps - Initial contact: In our first conversations, I will take the details I need from you to ensure I am available and able to provide makeup for your wedding. I need to know date, location, how many people need their makeup doing and what time you need to be ready for. - Quote and deposit: I will provide you with a quote for the full cost of your wedding with the details you have provided me. Once confirmed I'm available and the quote is within your budget, I will send you a contract & take a non refundable deposit which is sent via bank transfer. - Discussion: Undoubtedly, we will already have discussed ideas and themes by this point. However, once the deposit is paid I give you my number for us to send images and discuss ideas via Whatsapp, as I find this the easiest way to track and hold onto your ideas and information. We can start brain storming the ideal makeup look for you. I usually ask for a mood board of ideas you like (Pinterest is a good website for this), and also a few images of how you usually like to wear your makeup. - Trial: We book your trial for a date that suits you and we make your mood board and our brain storm a reality! Trials take 1.5-2 hours and I take several pictures at the end of your trial for my reference! - Trial Check backs: After your trial, I do a check back with you within 24-48 hours to gain any feedback from your makeup, and discuss any adjustments - The Pre Big Day: Payment of the remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the big day. I will send you a message in the 72 hours prior to your wedding to re-confirm details such as any allergies, the location and time you all need to be ready for. I will also send you a running order of roughly what time slots people will be having their makeup done - The Big Day: I will arrive 15 mins prior to the first time slot to give me time to set up and then we're ready to rock and roll! I pride myself on us having a fun relaxed morning getting ready!

Do you require a deposit?Yes - A deposit is £100 for weddings without accommodation, and £150 for those that require accommodation, and is sent via bank transfer. No booking is official until the deposit is paid, the date is not officially yours until the deposit is received. Your wedding makeup quote is valid for 30 days and is subject to change after those 30 days, however once the deposit is paid the price will not change. Deposits are non refundable after the first 7 days of payment. Your deposit payment confirms you have read the contract sent to you, and agree to all terms listed.
-
When is payment due?Payment is due 7 days prior to your big day via bank transfer. If you wish to pay early. you are more than welcome but no earlier than 6 months prior to your wedding day. If you are late in paying your final balance, a £50 per day fee is owed.
-
What if I need to cancel my wedding/you as my makeup artist? What are your policies? That's not a problem - these things may happen. If you wish to cancel within 7 days of paying your deposit, you receive a full refund of your deposit amount. If you need to cancel after the initial 7 days, but before 90 days prior to your wedding date, you forfeit your deposit but owe no additional moneys. If you cancel between 90 days and 31 days prior to the wedding date, 50% of the total balance is due (including deposit payment) If you cancel 30 days prior to the wedding date or less, the full balance is due within 7 days of cancellation. If you are late in paying the fee, there is a £50 per day late fee owed.
-
Do you travel?Yes! I travel across the UK and available for international weddings. Weddings that are 2 hours + away from Leeds will require 1 nights hotel stay. Weddings that are 4.5+ hours away from Leeds will require 2 nights hotel stay - you will be made aware of this requirement at the time of booking and the fee will be factored into your quote.
-
Do you charge travel fees?Weddings within the LS post code have no travel fees. Travel fees for weddings outside of the LS post code are charged per mile, based on the mileage of the round trip.
-
Do you have a Minimum/Maximum Wedding party size?Yes and no! Weddings with travel 2 hours or more away from Leeds are required to have at least 3 people having their makeup done, or will be charged the equivalent minimum balance of £405 without travel. Weddings on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday in the months of August to October are required to have at least 4 people having their makeup done, or will be charged the equivalent minimum balance of £485 without travel. For larger Wedding Parties, I have a colleague who can attend Weddings with me, who I have worked with for the last 6 years. If they attend with me, I will still be doing the To-Be-Weds makeup and anyone who I have provided a trial for in advance, and they will be doing other wedding party member's makeup. There is a one off £60 secondary makeup artist fee applied to the booking - which will be advised at the time of booking or if/when numbers increase.
-
When do you need to know final numbers by?I don't need to know final numbers of people requiring makeup at the time of booking. I require the final number of people requiring makeup to be sent over to me by no later than 3 months prior to your wedding day. If the numbers reduce between 90 days and 7 days prior to the wedding, 50% of the fee per person is still owed. If the numbers reduce between 7 days prior to the wedding and the wedding day, the full fee per person is owed. If additional people want to be added after final numbers are provided, this is down to my discretion if I can accommodate. These additional people will be charged at the price at the time of the request, which may be more than the price quoted at the time of booking.
-
What if we need to change locations during the get ready process? If the location is between two rooms in the same venue, then I can factor this in, I will just need to know in advance. If the location change is from one location to another, with a separate address, there is an £80 relocation fee.

Are there any Weddings you won't do? Are you inclusive?I am proud to say l am an inclusive makeup artist. My kit is predominately Vegan (over 95%) and completely Cruelty Free. If you wish to have a full face of vegan beauty, please notify me prior to your trial to ensure I omit the remaining 5% of non-vegan items within my kit. I carry a wide range of shades and work on all skin tones and types, and I work to make you feel as beautiful and comfortable as possible whilst in my chair. You are welcome to sensory and comfort breaks throughout the makeup application, and we can omit anything you do not wish to use so that you feel your best version of yourself with makeup on. Your makeup will be tailored to your personal preferences and requirements. My salon is accessible with a ramp and lift for those who require it when attending their Trial. I am an LGBTQIA+ friendly makeup artist, and aim to create a safe, judgement free service within my makeup space. I will not provide Wedding Makeup for bigots, TERFs and dickheads! If youre a dick, you will be removed from my chair.
-
Is there any reason why I wouldn't be able to get my makeup done?I am unable to provide makeup for those with active cold sores, styes, conjunctivitis, impetigo, ring worm or other infectious skin ailments, and will have to refuse service if anyone sits in my chair with these contraindications. If I am not made aware of any of the above contraindications in advance, and unknowingly provide a service, the client will be billable in full for replacing all brushes and makeup items used during the session, as these will have to be discarded. I am also unable to use products I have been advised you are allergic or highly sensitive to.
